Welcome to Methods XVII
We are looking forward to hosting the Seventeenth International Conference on Methods in Dialectology (Methods XVII) from August 1-5, 2022 at Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. Methods in Dialectology is a triennial conference that alternates between Canada and Europe. After Methods XVI, by special arrangement, has been held at the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL) in Tokyo, the venue for the upcoming conference is Mainz, Germany.
The conference will take place at the conference facility Erbacher Hof, right in the historic city centre of Mainz and in the vicinity of the 1000-year-old Roman Catholic cathedral.
The theme for Methods XVII is (Dia)Lects in the 21st Century.
